Pre-wedding shoot at Hadley Park House Telford
April 2017 Filed in: Pre-wedding Shoots
The weatherman seems to be keeping an eye on my diary and ordering rain whenever I have a shoot coming up. Luckily I have great couples like Verona and Claire that laugh in the face of a spot of wet weather. So whilst some of their pre-shoot was us hiding under trees for shelter, we still had fun and captured some lovely photos.
It's inevitable that some couples’ wedding days will be closer to my own personal idea of what a wedding day should be. My favourite couples are the ones who throw out the rule book when it comes to their wedding. They don't worry about what everyone else does, instead they ask themselves: "What do we want for our own wedding day?" Verona and Claire are one of those couples. They’re forgoing some of the formality that many feel they have to adhere to, and going for a more laid back vibe.
There are elements here that are reminiscent of mine and Toby's wedding day, which was a lovely and informal kind of wedding. We decided to get ready together on the morning of our wedding, as we wanted to share as much of the day together as possible. We walked up the aisle together too, as it just felt right for us to do so. We plan to spend the rest of our lives together, and so we planned to spend as much of our wedding day together as possible as well.
My advice to most couples is not to worry about what they feel the 'should' do for their wedding day, but concentrate on what they 'want' to do for their wedding day. I'm looking forward to seeing how Verona and Claire mix up the formula to create something unique, something that's theirs, something that's different to many other wedding days. I'm sure it will make it even more exciting and individual for their family and friends to experience.
So until I can share some of the inevitable fun and laughter that will be taking place on their special day, here's some of the fun and laughter (rain or no rain) that took place on their pre-wedding shoot at Hadley Park House
