Romantic wedding day at Bournville Church and The Limes Country Lodge

I may have now shot my last wedding of 2017, but I'm still working very hard at completing the galleries for the last of my wedding shoots this year. One couple who received their photos a while ago was Penny and Scott. They married at Bournville Church in Birmingham, then celebrated with family and friends at The Limes Country Hotel in Solihull near the end of the summer.

Penny and Scott had a packed schedule leading up to their wedding day. It meant that they nearly missed out on taking advantage of the pre-wedding shoot included with every wedding booking. Luckily we were able to synchronise our calendars and found the time to meet up just two days before the wedding day itself. It meant that all their practising in front of the camera was very fresh in their minds on the day of their nuptials. My day with them started in the morning at The Limes, where Penny was balancing the jobs of getting ready, as well as helping prepare lots of last minute touches to the venue and set up. You've got to give a bride credit when she's working that hard the very morning of her wedding day; kudos.

Once everyone and everything was ready, it was time to head to Bournville Church for their ceremony. Bournville Church is a beautiful place of worship, and makes for a wonderful wedding venue. The sun was streaming beautifully through the church’s windows, right onto the spot where Penny and Scott shared their first kiss as husband and wife.

For the reception celebrations and party it was back to The Limes Country Lodge. There was a giant tower of macaroons for their cake, a whole host of treats in the form of little cakes and biscuits, not to mention a bouncy castle outside!
