"Evie is 4 and loves the outdoors, running around and posing for pictures! She took a particular shine to the twigs she found on the shoot and wouldn't put them down! She is a loving and very hands-on big sister to Oliver who is 1. He hasn't been walking long so he loved being in the park for the shoot and rolling around in the mud!” "Bantock Park is a special place for us as we are regular visitors and I grew up close by so have happy memories of the park from my own childhood. Phil was very accommodating and made the kids feel at ease. The shoot was very informal which made for some great pictures, I would definitely recommend to family and friends. Thank you!”

Many of you will already know that I occasionally visit the Tumble Tots groups in my local area. Tumble Tots is a fantastic idea - children of ages from roughly six months to eleven years get to play in a stimulating physical and social environment. I go along to photograph the children enjoying themselves and developing essential skills. If you missed out, take a look at previous posts about Tumble Tots visits.

As you can read in my previous blog posts, I've developed a lot of respect and admiration for Charlotte and her team at Tumble Tots. The abilities the children gain and develop are all worthwhile and positive capabilities, that put each child in excellent stead for their future. Seeing a child stumble, pick themselves back up, and continue with play without a tear in sight is always impressive. It's a sign that the child feels confident, secure and adventurous, all qualities and ingredients for a great childhood.

Back in the summer, Charlotte ran a special Tumble Tots competition to mark hitting 1000 likes on the Tumble Tots Wolverhampton and Stafford Facebook page. As well as all the other great prizes the winner would receive I offered to donate another bonus gift: a family portrait shoot for the lucky prizewinner.

It was Tumble Tots' mum Louise who guessed the correct answer to the giveaway, and was lucky enough to win the competition. As most parents will know, trying to schedule anything with children in tow can be quite a feat, so due to a busy family life and lots of important commitments it took us a while to get a date booked for 's lifestyle portrait shoot. I'm glad to say that we eventually got to meet up just before Christmas, to have some fun collecting twigs and running around in Bantock Park.

Here's a few words from Louise about their shoot, as well as some of the great photos we captured too.
