Rainy day family portrait shoot in Leasowes Park
July 2017 Filed in: Portraits | Families | Toddlers
Those of you that regularly read my blog will already know that I like a good family portrait shoot. I've mentioned before how babies and young children's lack of self consciousness is always refreshing. Whether it's all smiles and giggles, maybe tantrums and tempers, or possibly a bit of everything in-between, it's about capturing the moment, photographing those little personalities in all their little shapes and sizes.
Lifestyle family portrait photos are particularly special as they capture a specific moment in time for both the parents and children. Relaxed, genuine, and candid images to keep, and look back on as the children get older. Lifestyle portraits allow space for young children to act naturally, and just generally do their thing, whatever that may be. There's no posing, I don't ask them to look at the camera or smile. It's all capturing everyone as they go about their business, enjoying a trip to the park, a genuine snapshot of family life.
We captured a lot of really wonderful photos, so much so it was difficult to narrow down which to share here. Here's a small selection of family life from the Shemar's portrait session.
