Rural pre-wedding shoot at The Ashes
October 2016 Filed in: Pre-wedding Shoots
Late autumn and early spring tends to be the pre-wedding shoot season. The height of all the summer weddings has calmed a little, and so there's more time to meet up with couples preparing for their upcoming weddings. It's a chance for me to get to know them before their big day, and an opportunity to practice in front of the camera; for us to work out the type of shots that help bring out the uniqueness of their relationship, and get some great photos too.
This is exactly what we did when Becky, Anthony and myself met up recently at their future wedding venue, The Ashes Barns
in Stoke-on-Trent. We were treated to amazing weather, with dramatic clouds in the sky and plenty of autumn sunshine. Together we went through the logistics of their wedding day, before heading into the beautiful grounds to capture some shots, practice for their day, take in the amazing views, and for Anthony to nearly fall off a small wall (luckily his future wife was there to save him).
One of the things I love about my work is when I'm lucky enough to meet couples where you just can't help but see how in love they are, and how much they are looking forward to being married. Becky and Anthony are certainly one of those special couples. It was humbling and endearing to hear Becky talk about how much they mean to each other and what great friends they are too. It’s why I couldn't resist sharing their shoot on my blog. I just know it's going to be one of those weddings where the couple can't stop beaming from ear to ear for the entire day.
I'll be seeing you both in a few short months!
