Wedding Squad sisters portrait photo shoot in Digbeth

Those of you who follow us on social media, which is hopefully ALL of you, will know that we’ve become regulars at the Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza in Birmingham over the past couple of years. We’ve even become show sponsors, and help out with much of the marketing and advertising design work.

There are many great aspects of the alternative wedding show; one of them being the Sheep Hunt. Each year show exhibitors can get involved by creating their very own sheep for the show. They then have to give their sheep a name, and place said sheep on, or near to their stand during the show. Then the sheep hunt commences! Each exhibitor with a sheep offers a prize. These can vary from free products, discounts, and experiences.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning a prize is chat to each exhibitor, and ask them for the name of their sheep. Collect all the sheep names as you enjoy the show, and hand in your entry in before you leave. It’s fun for you, gives you the chance to win something, and it’s great for exhibitors as the sheep hunt gets folks up to our stands to ask for our sheep name and breaks the ice for a chat.

Last year our prize was a free Wedding Squad Shoot. We wanted to offer something different to a couples’ photo shoot as we’re so generous that we already include those for free with our wedding bookings. The most important people on a wedding day is obviously the couple, but the friends and family a couple chooses to share their day with are really import to! So a photo session geared towards including a small group of those nearest and dearest seemed like a great idea.

Fleur was last show’s winner, and chose to bring her two sisters along for some sisterly shenanigans. As the Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza is held at The Bond in Digbeth, meeting up there for the shoot seemed like like a no-brainer.

During my time with them I learnt about "flying monkeys", and "Christmas day people pyramids". Oh, yeah, and there was A LOT of giggling and silliness; just the way a portrait photo shoot should be.

Check our some of the said silliness below.

We’ll be back at the next Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza show on March 14th and 15th 2020. You can book your tickets in advance on the show's website here. Hopefully see you there.
