You can have an awesome family shoot at any time of the year. Whether it's wrapped up warm in cute scarves and hats in the winter, splashing around with ladybird wellies in puddles during the spring, or playing in the sunshine during the summer. There's something special about autumn family shoots though, it's the golden falling leaves, and hazy autumn sunlight that works really well.
I'm lucky enough to be asked to capture this little girl’s portrait as regularly as her parents can get me to. I photographed her mommy and daddy's wedding a couple of years back, and I've been adopted as the family photographer ever since. Lanah is quite a special little girl, and I freely admit she's definitely stolen my heart. She's wonderfully carefree, inquisitive and friendly. She was wandering up to other walkers in the park to wave a hello at them. It was very sweet!
I captured lots of photos of her enjoying the park and the autumn leaves. Here's a small selection from her shoot. I particularly like the pictures where she had some 'issues' with her little hood. To be fair to Lanah hoods can be tricky bits of attire at the best of times. Get ready for the cuteness overload!
